2018...A New Year!
This doesn't just mean goodbye to the old, but also a hello to fresh opportunities.
TAKING STOCK, SETTING GOALS & MAKING THINGS HAPPEN
Turning the page on a fresh new year, always gives such a sense of renewal and inspires hope for all that can be accomplished. January is a great time to set goals and preparation for the year/s ahead, big or small, and start putting those wheels in motion to get things done.
THE announcement - TIME TO TURN THE PAGE
So after many years photographing primarily destination weddings in Malta and Sicily, Veronica and I are both very excited to announce that we have made the decision to come back and focus (no pun intended) on photographing weddings back in the UK.
NORTH EAST WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
There will be many challenges ahead of us, re-establishing ourselves within the UK wedding market, both nationally and locally in the North East. Getting the word out there & letting couples know that we don't just do destination weddings, we cover all of England, Scotland & Wales.
GOING FULL CIRCLE BY COMING HOME
This is an exciting time for us as we have a full 2018 weddings season ahead of us continuing with our European destination weddings, but also have some weddings now back in the UK. Weddings this year are in North East & South East of England as well as Scotland. Very much looking to all the variety and challenges weddings in the UK brings.
We are in a lucky situation as 90% of our destination couples are all from the UK, and with them giving us amazing testimonials to their friends and family, most of our 2019 bookings in the UK are weddings in Kent, East Sussex, Tyne & Wear, Northumberland, Scottish Borders, Edinburgh and Oxfordshire.
NEW BEGINNINGS FROM WHERE IT ALL STARTED
After working for many years as a photojournalist in Newcastle Upon Tyne while undertaking local weddings in the area, I'm really looking forward to becoming familiar again with the North East wedding venues.
I'm slightly biased, but I have to say that the North East of England has some of the most beautiful countryside and coastline in the UK with some amazing locations for weddings. So of my favourite local venues in Northumberland & Durham are Healey Barn, Ellingham Hall, Doxford Barns & Slaley Hall, Langley Castle, Newton Hall, Kirklinton Hall, Northside Farm, Lumley Castle and the recently visited Derwent Manor Hotel.
So, here's to the future and to all the fun of photographing awesome weddings back in Blighty.
It's going to be a blast!!
