Chic Destination Wedding
Tania & Dominic | The Xara Palace
NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
The sight of a horse drawn carriage trotting down a road Medieval Maltese streets is like no other. This was to be a beautiful destination wedding that was romantic, unconventional and so very very chic.
Tania & Dominic from Oxfordshire, booked me to photograph their destination wedding in Malta. The couple had planned for a classic church wedding in the centre of Rabat village and held their wedding reception in the nearby silent city of Mdina.
Tania and her bridesmaids arrived at Ta' Giezu Church by horse drawn carriage which was a beautiful sight to witness and capture. After the church ceremony had ended, the confetti showered couple, made the unconventional decision to walk through the medieval streets of Rabat & Mdina, accompanied by the procession of their wedding guests. I thought that this was a great unique idea, which made some awesome candid photos. The Xara Palace in Mdina was the location for their wedding reception party and dinner, both held on the Palace rooftop terrace. The views over Malta from the Palace's elevated position were stunning. This turned out to be one of my favourite weddings on the year.
