Rebecca & Neil @ Villa Bologna.
Rebecca and Neil from Altrincham which is a market town in Trafford, Greater Manchester, England, decided to have their dream destination wedding Villa Bologna, Attard in sunny Malta.
On the day of Rebecca and Neil's wedding it was a stunning, clear blue skies and the temperature near to the 40's. Their wedding was held in town of Attard at the Maltese wedding venue Villa Bologna. The wedding ceremony was setup in the Baroque Garden with the wedding reception seating setup in the shade of the Villa. Thankfully the Villa's gardens have lots of shaded areas with it's magnificent trees and the Bologna's garden architecture for those seeking to keep out of the sun and to find place to cool down.
Feelin hot, hot, hot ...
Brides & Grooms coming from the UK / Ireland love the fact that during the summer months that they are almost guaranteed great weather unlike the weather back at home. The weather in Malta & Sicily during the summer can sometimes a bit of a shock on how hot it gets and with these countries surprising high humidity, it can really feel so much hotter than it really is. This is especially true for wedding guests that are not used to it, or are people that are venerable to extreme temperature changes like the young and the old.
When planning a summer wedding in Malta or Sicily take in to consideration of these two groups of wedding guests and try to supply plenty of cold water throughout the day as well as areas of shade with seating options which sometimes get overlooked in planning stages of a wedding in the sun.
Weddings in the sun are so much more pleasurable as long at the right plans have been put in place. Formal dress codes and colours are also a consideration as well as the time of the ceremony. Many local weddings are planned in later afternoon to evening during the summer months to avoid the heat of the day.
