This is probably a whole new experience for you both.

Maybe you’ve worked with photographers before but this is an important day and there are no second chances. Many couples feel like they are walking into the unknown and they’re unsure about what to ask and how to start on this journey.

We give as much advice as we can and guide couples through the whole process.

On the wedding day, my wife Veronica is an invaluable resource; she assists me, but also helps out as much as she can so everything goes as smoothly as possible, reducing any worries or stress on the day.

Meet Elliot & Veronica Nichol

At the very centre of our photography there is our love for life, each other and our tiny Maltese terrier. We embrace life, love, and all the wonderfully unique memories we’re entrusted with. It’s an huge honour we are so thankful for and that will forever inspire us.

90% of my approach to weddings is journalism and storytelling. My training & skills, enable me to capture decisive moments, position myself in the right place at the right time whilst making the most of whats happening in front of me.  Creatively documenting the wedding day without manufacturing, fabricating or directing (except during the some portrait photos) letting you spend more time, fully enjoying your special day with your family & friends, creating natural relaxed wedding photos with stronger emotional ties.

Informal, natural & relaxed Wedding photography

I find my way of covering a wedding in a candid, documentary style quietly captures the authentic and genuine moments as they happen for the bride and groom. Using images to tell the story of the wedding day enables me to see more of a natural, relaxed view of the relationships between family and friends, capturing all the fun & personality of the big day.

"By naturally capturing the joy, happiness, fun, humour, emotion, and detail of your day as they happen, I aim to create memories that you will cherish for a lifetime and generations to come."

Professional Photographer since 1998

Being professional means much more to Veronica & I than getting paid for services. It's an attitude, a responsibility, it's about the right kind of communication, an outlook, about how you interacting with people and represent yourself and the business; it's about consistency of a service & product, but most importantly, it’s about being an honest and genuine person.

 Elliot's Photographic Journey

I've always had a creative eye, even as a small boy, constantly painting, drawing and taking pictures. After school I went straight on to Art School and studied Graphic Design. I completed the 2 year course and then decided (much to my father’s frustration) I didn't want to pursue that particular artistic path. Instead I decided to study Photography because this subject was touched on during my design course. I enrolled on a part-time A level photography course and this is where I really fell in love with the art form.

After my exams I was accepted from a vast selection of candidates to study photography at Newcastle School of Art & Design where I studied full time for 2 years and finally graduated with a Higher National Diploma.  It was there I received my first award from the NEPA (North East Press Awards) for best student photography. My photographic career continued shortly afterwards as a Trainee Press Photographer and over the years moved up to Senior Photographer within the Trinity Mirror group at the Newcastle Evening Chronicle.

A large proportion of my career has been working as a Newspaper Photojournalist for regional and national newspapers in the UK. I have gained over 20 years experience within the photographic industry and for some years now specialising as a full time Wedding Photographer. It was always going to be a natural progression for me to approach weddings creatively and in the same way as all my press experience has taught me, with storytelling.

Don't risk these memories with anyone other than the perfect photographer for you, the moments, subtle glances, and all wonder of your wedding day simply irreplaceable.
